October 2nd - Monthly Cruise @ The Pit Stop
For the 2nd month in a
row, our October cruise was a picture perfect night. With the beautiful weather came the beautiful cars and cars
and more cars. We lost count at about
120-130, there may have been more.
The 50/50 was another astounding
amount, $1,000.00 with $500.00 going to the winner, Brad Long! No I did not say
Brian; I said brad, Brian’s nephew.
Whew…two long’s winning 2 months in a row, say…can I get a loan???

October 7th – Mopars at the Marina

WOW – Eric Keller did the
most amazing job of getting almost every Mopar together from Crusin the
Coast. When we arrived in Biloxi
on Wednesday, Eric was one of the first people we ran into. He gave us a stack of flyers and asked
that when we saw Mopars to pass them out.
Personally I handed several out and received almost the same response
each time, “this is like the third one of these; I promise I’ll be there”. And
be there, they were.
There were well over 230 hundred
cars with several car clubs from the south represented; the Deep South Mopars
(750 members) to the Cajun Mopars, from Iberia Parish were all there. Then there were reps from Adidas, who
were interested in a certain member’s car for a commercial; reps from Firefly Vodka
who were literally driving down Beach Blvd, saw all of the Mopars, and did a
U-turn to see what they were missing; don’t be surprised to see them at our
show in May. Mopar magazine had a very impressive
display and certainly grabbed the attention of passer bys.
Then
there was the food. I will have to
take everyone else’s opinions, because while I was walking back & forth
letting everyone know the food was ready, it was being eaten up and a
superhuman rate. Get ready for
these numbers, 200 bowls of jambalaya and 300 pieces of chicken were eaten in
21 minutes. One person told me she
was from up north but her aunt was from New Orleans, and she had not jambalaya
that good in over 20 years, since her aunt passed away, she had tears in her
eyes as she told the how her family would flock to her aunt’s house whenever
she cooked jambalaya for them.
