No General Meeting in July

July 3rd - @ the Pit Stop

Okay things are looking up, although it rained during the day the skies cleared up for our July 3rd cruise.  Once again BEMA showed that we put on the BEST cruise around.  We had about 95 cars show up, 26 of those were BEMA members.  We were missing a few noticeable people but we banded together and the show went on.  Thanks to Jack Collins for grabbing the mic and making all of our announcements and calling the 50/50 numbers.

A huge thanks goes to Jeff & McGuire’s Pit Stop, for arranging a spectacular band, “The Americano’s” who rocked their rock-a-billy style from 7pm and played till the cars pulled out.  They even handed off the drums to “Petey”, a 12 year old who told them he could play, and it  turns out he was right.

There were the usual but great prizes, food, & drinks.  Our 50/50 was won by the Camaro/Firebird club.

Things You Should Know

The times Picayune will NOT carry any info concerning car show’s or cruise nights any longer. Things like printing cost and PROFIT.  We will also have to pass out flyers at as many cruises that we can to promote our cruise nights.

Please visit & post your pics on our facebook page.  Also you can invite as many people as you many to join our facebook “group”.  Our upcoming events are listed here, do whatever you can to get the word out and invite people to our shows.

If there is anything you want included in the newsletter such as car show results or who attended what event or any pictures you want added to web site, email them to me (skfnola@cox.net). We will have a sign in sheet at any sponsored club event so don’t forget to sign.

You requested it, and we listened.  The new redesigned website is up and running.  Please send me your “Member Rides” pictures to put on the site.  The forum is not quite ready but hopefully it will be functional soon.  If you have anything you would like placed on the site please email, bigeasymopar@gmail.com

We have received emails from other MOPAR groups who have found us through our site.  Check out www.moparkingdom.com, it is a national MOPAR site.  It is very new but it has a lot of promise.
